A Review - Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do

No more messy pet food dishes!

I have several pets, 2 dogs and 4 cats in fact. Every day I have to go into the area where the animals eat and sweep up all the little bits of dog and cat food that hit the floor. Oh, and did I mention all the water drips all over the floor? There's a reason why I have designated a small room in the basement for pet food, too many spills in the kitchen!

The nice folks over at Neater Feeder contacted me and asked if I would like to try out one of their revolutionary new pet feeding stations. They claimed that the mess stays contained and that they were sure I would be happy with the results. Well, they were right! I have the Neater Feeder for cats and it's wonderful. Now I'm going to have to get one for my dogs. :)

Below is a video that shows exactly how the Neater Feeder works. I like that it's lightweight, has leg extensions to adjust the height, and is very easy to clean. At first I was concerned about the size of the bowl considering I have 4 cats, but that has not proved to be an issue. The dish holds plenty of food for the cats and I haven't had to fill it any more frequently than I did my old dishes. I definitely recommend the Neater Feeder. Great for anyone who has accidentally kicked a bowl of animal food only to find themselves sweeping moments later.

Creative Easter Baskets

Sick of the same old chocolate bunnies and shredded grass stuffing for your child's Easter basket? It's time to think "outside the basket" and consider these fun new ideas to bring a smile to Easter morning.


Favorite Things Basket

Instead of filling the basket with traditional candy, look to items that your child loves. A series of books, like Wimpy Kid or Judy Moody are great for budding readers. Maybe it's their favorite collectible toy like Polly Pockets, Webkinz or Hot Wheels. Many times retailers will have Easter editions of certain toys or books that make the basket a fun treat. Older children will like things such as recent movies with posters of their favorite actors or items to decorate their room.
Arts and Crafts Basket

All kids love crafts or art supplies. Create a basket full of markers, papers, glue sticks, craft supplies and more that will indulge your child for hours. Many specialty toy stores are carrying project oriented kits for the mad scientist, mini interior or fashion designer, or pet lover. The kit could also center on an Easter-oriented activity like egg decorating or bonnet making. Sidewalk chalk and bubble kits are great ideas to get them outdoors.
Get Cooking Basket

Perhaps your child loves to help at home in the kitchen. Put together a fun basket of kid style measuring cups, an apron, and an easy kit to make dinner such as pasta. Paper chefs hats, wooden spoons, and easy to read cookbooks are also great for that chef-to-be. Box mixes for cakes or muffins will indulge the baker.
Spring Things Basket

Older children that have moved out of the toy phase will love to get items for the new season. This basket could be filled with a new warm weather outfit that includes shorts, t-shirts, and maybe even sandals. Perhaps there is a new trendy item they have been begging for. Baseball hats or hair accessories are also great ideas.
